A Coca-Cola campaign marking the 30th anniversary of Diego Maradona’s “Hand of God” goal against England at the 1986 World Cup quarter-final.

Preview:

Maradona scored it.

Referee Ali Bin Nasser allowed it.

Their reunion, three decades on, would have been one of football’s great stories.

We were brought in to build it.

What we did:

We developed the go-to-market strategy for Coca-Cola ahead of the 2016 Euros, building the storytelling framework to reunite two men bound by one of football’s most debated moments.

Our Role:

Campaign strategy and go-to-market development. The campaign did not ultimately launch, but the work of bringing these two personalities together around that story was something we are proud of.
